Yes, you can cancel, but we kindly request that you provide at least 5 days’ notice. While we understand that unexpected circumstances can arise, we kindly ask that you only book onto courses you’re certain you can attend. This helps us manage resources effectively and ensures fairness for other trainers. Please note that cancellations are monitored, so it's important to be mindful when committing to a course.

Yes, you’ll need both Professional Indemnity (PI) and Public Liability (PL) insurance. The minimum required cover for each is  £1,000,000. This ensures you're protected while working and meets our compliance standards.

How do I invoice?

To invoice, go to the Billing section of your portal and upload a single invoice that includes all courses delivered within the month. Be sure to include your bank details, course dates, and venue addresses, and ensure the invoice is submitted by the last working day of the month it relates to. This helps us process everything smoothly and on time.

When do I get paid?

If you have invoiced correctly, payment will be in your bank account by the 6th working day of the following month

Can I claim for parking?

Our rates are inclusive of all fees, including travel and parking.

If a learner is late:
We allow a 15-minute grace period. Learners arriving after this time will unfortunately need to be turned away. If you’re unsure whether to admit a late learner, please call us for guidance before proceeding.

Do I have to check photo ID for each learner?

Yes, learners are required to bring photo ID to the course. As part of the registration process, please make sure to verify their date of birth against the ID provided to ensure accurate records and compliance.

If a learner’s name is incorrect or they’ve been replaced:
Please email us as soon as possible with the correct name or details of the replacement learner. We’ll update our records to ensure the learner can register and receive their certificate without any issues.

If a learner does not attend:
Simply mark the learner as ‘Not Attending’ on the sign-off sheet. No further action is required on your part.

How do I refer a learner:

To refer a learner, simply click the ‘Refer’ button during the sign-off process and include clear comments explaining the reason for the referral. It’s important that the learner is informed they’ve been referred.

TLT has introduced QR codes for learner registration and end-of-course assessments. This system helps to reduce paperwork, save trainer time, and provide a faster, more efficient experience for both learners and trainers.

How it works:

• At the start of the course, learners scan the QR code, select their name, and show their ID to the trainer. This process registers them as attending.

• One hour before the course ends, the final exams are released to learners.

• Learners must complete their exams in the classroom under trainer supervision, following exam conditions. (Please see the Assessment and Exam Process video under Trainer Resources for full guidance.)

Using QR codes ensures TLT maintains a clear, auditable log of course times and learner attendance.

Tigerlily Training Statement on the Use of De-Choking Devices

As a provider of Regulated First Aid Training, Tigerlily Training is committed to delivering instruction that aligns with the latest guidance from authoritative bodies, including the UK Resuscitation Council (UKRC), the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).

We are aware of the growing interest in suction-based airway clearance devices such as the LifeVac. However, we do not currently endorse or include the use of these devices in our training programmes. This position is based on the UK Resuscitation Council’s official guidance, which states that:

“We do not currently support their use, as there is insufficient research and evidence on the safety or effectiveness of these devices. We are concerned that the use of these devices could delay established treatments for choking.”

Instead, we continue to teach and promote the evidence-based protocols for managing choking incidents, including encouraging effective coughing, administering back blows, abdominal thrusts (for adults and children), and chest thrusts (for infants), followed by CPR if the individual becomes unresponsive.

It's so important to be prepared. All trainers are expected to take the following:

• Full Training Kit as per our current kit list
• A hard copy of the Register/Evidence Log/spare MCQ papers
• Copy of the qualification specification (if regulated) and Training Plans
• ID Badge (this may be needed for entry)
• DBS check - especially if delivering at a children's centre or school

Our booking terms and conditions state that the following refund/amendment schedule:

Four weeks or more prior to the course date: You are eligible for a full refund or course transfer

Between Four weeks and Seven Days prior to the course date:

• You can cancel with a 50% refund
• You can transfer to another course date with a 10% charge
• You can transfer the course to another individual free of charge

Less than seven days prior to the course date:

• No refunds or course transfers are possible.
• The full fee must be paid if a learner wishes to re-book a course.

Please note our courses are limited to 12 learners. unfortunately, regardless of the reason for non-attendance or late attendance, we are unable to provide free or discounted course transfers.

Your e-certificate will be sent by email on completion of your course, however if you require another link, please contact us. For all in-house bookings, your can access these links via your client portal.

If you have paid for a paper certificate and require a replacement, please call our admin team who will arrange this for you, however there is a £10 charge for a replacement paper certificate.

To successfully complete the course, learners must meet the practical assessment requirements. If you have a medical condition, injury, or physical limitation that may affect your ability to participate, please review our Reasonable Adjustments Policy for further guidance.

We understand that signal can sometimes be unreliable, particularly in certain locations. To keep everything running smoothly, please ensure you always carry a folder containing printed MCQ papers as a backup. These should only be used if needed, but it’s important to have them available just in case.

For CTQ courses, please remember that learners may only complete Paper 1 once. If a resit is required, you’ll need to provide Paper 2, so make sure both versions are included in your folder.

The WhatsApp group is intended for industry-related updates, announcements, and useful training insights. We kindly ask that any personal queries or individual concerns be directed to us privately, so we can support you more effectively and keep the group focused.

• We provide simple QR code course registration, so we ask that you bring a fully charged smartphone and a photo ID for verification. You will also need your smartphone to access the end-of-course multiple-choice questionnaire.
• Please wear comfortable clothes that allow you to kneel on the floor for practical demonstrations.
• You must demonstrate CPR and Recovery as in a real-life situation, so you must be able to kneel on the floor for a minimum of 5 minutes.
• We cannot guarantee that there will be access to refreshments. We therefore suggest you bring a packed lunch and hot drinks.

Our courses start at different times, but mostly from 9.30 am. Please check your booking confirmation and ensure you arrive 15 minutes early for registration.

We strongly advise that you complete your eLearning in full before attending your practical training day.

Your trainer/assessor will assess all practical elements of the course, and you will be notified in advance when an assessment is required. You will also need to complete a final end-of-course multiple-choice quiz.
