Our 3 hr Advanced Safeguarding L2 is designed for those that work or care for children. When caring for children it is essential that you have up-to-date knowledge of child protection procedures. This advanced course will help you to build on your existing knowledge and remind you how to identify abuse and report concerns. Those with a Safeguarding Designated Person/Officer Job role should compete in our Safeguarding Designated Person L3 course.
Who is this course most suitable for?
This course is suitable for anyone who works with children and has some knowledge of safeguarding procedures. Those who are unfamiliar with safeguarding and child protection should take our Safeguarding Awareness L1 Course

Aims of the Course
On completion of this course, learners will:
· To understand what is 'safeguarding' and why learning about safeguarding children is so important.
· To understand the difference between safeguarding and child protection.
· To identify the indicators and warning signs of abuse
· To understand the role that other professionals and social care have in safeguarding
· Understand how to refer and the social care referral process, possible responses and what happens during the post referral process
· Have a knowledge of child protections plan and assessments
