Emergency Paediatric First Aid 1 day practical training

This course can be upgraded to the full Paediatric First Aid if required and all learners will receive a very comprehensive paediatric first aid manual which covers the full training syllabus.

This is the new Emergency Paediatric First Aid Course and covers just 7 areas of content. *This course is suitable for nannies, parents/grandparents or those within Early Years who are working as part of a team with other staff who hold a Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate. Childminders or those working alone on the Compulsory Ofsted Register must take the Full Paediatric First Aid Course.

This course is delivered across the UK at our Training Centres and can also be delivered to groups at your venue.

About the course

Our Emergency Paediatric First Aid (6 Hours Practical) (EYFS/Ofsted*) Course covers the following subjects:

One Day at a Tigerlily Training Venue or In-House

Tutor-led training with one of our Qualified First Aid trainers guiding you through all the practical life-saving techniques.

Our Emergency Paediatric First Aid course covers the following subjects:

  • Be able to assess an emergency situation and prioritise what action to take
  • Help a baby or child who is unresponsive and breathing normally
  • Help a baby or child who is unresponsive and not breathing normally
  • Help a baby or child who is having a seizure
  • Help a baby or child who is choking
  • Help a baby or child who is bleeding
  • Help a baby or child who is suffering from shock caused by severe blood loss (hypovolemic shock)

The practical session lasts around 6 hours including breaks. Our open courses start at 10am and finish at approx 5pm. Courses at your place of work can be run at a time to suit you.

Certificates are valid for 3 years, meet OFSTED/EYFS requirements and are accredited by the FAIB (First Aid Industry Body)

This course is available at one of our open training venues across the UK.

We can also run the course at your place of work anywhere in the UK.

You will need to wear comfortable clothes for the practical sessions and take photo ID. We also advise that you take a packed lunch with you. You will receive a comprehensive 80 page training manual and refreshments.
