Safeguarding Designated Person Children Level 35 hours Face-to-Face Virtual or at Your Place of Work
Our 5hr Safeguarding Designated Person L3 course, sometimes called Designated Safeguarding Officer, is 5hrs of face-to-face virtual training. This course is designed for those in a position of Safeguarding Designated Person or Officer in a Childcare or Young Persons setting such as a nursery, childcare centre, school or activity club.

This course is suitable for anyone who works with children and holds a management, supervisory or designated child protection role. The course is suitable for anyone who has some knowledge of safeguarding procedures. Aims of the Course
On completion of this course, learners will:
• Know the laws, policies and guidance documents that contribute towards best safeguarding and child protection practice.
• Understand their roles and responsibilities as the Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Know how to recognise and respond to abuse appropriately and efficiently.
• Understand the framework for safeguarding and child protection and how best to respond to children's differing levels of need under the framework.
• Know when and how to share information.
• Know how to take action should they disagree with actions or decisions made.
• Understand the importance of recording and storing information.
